LCCL coding classroom on Orchard Road, Singapore — children at laptops with the city skyline behind them

SINCE 2012 · ORCHARD ROAD & ONLINE

Raising little humans for an AI world.

Small-class coding for ages 5 to 18, in person on Orchard Road and online over Zoom. Since 2012 we've taught more than 3,000 children to think — not just to type code.

WHY WE EXIST

The code was never the point.

Since 2012 we've taught children to break a problem apart, spot the pattern, and build the answer. We call it computational thinking, and it's the skill that sits underneath the code.

AI can write the code now. It can't do that thinking for your child. And the more it writes, the more that thinking is what sets them apart. We've taught it from the start. We just teach it sharper now.

COMPUTATIONAL THINKING, SINCE 2012

FLOOR 13 · ORCHARD RD

Six desks. One teacher. Something built every class.

No lectures, no worksheets. Kids open their laptops and build something real: a game, an animation, a program that does what they actually want it to. The teacher sits beside them, not in front of them.

EVERY CLASS, THEY LEARN TO CREATE
Create

Turn a blank screen into something that didn't exist before. An idea becomes a real, working thing.

Craft

Care how it's made, not just that it runs. Polish it. Find the bug. Make it better.

Collaborate

Build alongside others, look at each other's work, and learn that your way isn't the only way.

Communicate

Explain what you made and why. Showing your thinking is half the work.

Code

The tool, not the goal. Scratch, then Python. The language changes; the thinking doesn't.

Compute

Break a problem into parts, test each part, put it back together. Think it through, step by step.

AGES 5–7 · IN PERSON

Their first taste of making something real. They drag blocks in Scratch, watch it come alive on screen, and build little games before they can even read the code behind them.

AGES 8–11 · IN PERSON

From player to maker. They move from Scratch toward real code, building games and animations with proper logic underneath: loops, variables, the works.

AGES 12–18 · ONLINE

Real Python, the language behind Google, NASA and every AI lab. Live online over Zoom, writing programs that actually do something, not toy exercises.

FAMILIES STAY FOR YEARS

LCCL flexibly used different platforms to help my kids develop different facets important to coders. The classes are fun, relaxing and casual, and my kids love them.

YONG MING · DAD OF A 6 AND 8 YEAR-OLD

The boys had plenty of fun. They said time flew by and wished there was more. We like that the class is small and the ratio is good.

YEE PING · AUNT OF ISAAC (10) AND BEN (8)

I'm learning a lot from the way the lessons are. I especially like the little task after each lesson — it reinforces what I learnt that day.
