Teenagers writing Python code on their laptops in an LCCL class

AGES 12–18 · ONLINE · LIVE OVER ZOOM

Python for ages 12–18: real code, live online.

Our online programme for teens, live over Zoom from Singapore. They write real Python — the language behind Google, Netflix and every AI lab — building working programs, not toy exercises. No experience needed.

THE PROGRAMME

Real Python, the professional language.

Python is taught in universities and used in AI, data science and web development. Our students start from zero and learn to write organised code like professionals — not just follow tutorials. Beginners begin with the basics; experienced students are placed at the right level.

HOW IT GROWS

Matched to your teen's level.

Python runs as one programme across ages 12–18, with each student placed where they'll be challenged, not lost.

AGES 12–13
Foundations

A visual start that lays strong Python fundamentals: data types, functions and logic. They learn how Python actually works and write organised code from the beginning.

AGES 14–16
Real applications

They build programs that do something: chatbots, data tools, games and simulations. For students who want it, this is where competition preparation begins.

AGES 17–18
Portfolio projects

Bigger, self-directed builds and a first taste of AI — the kind of work that stands out on a university application. Graduating students can continue on our graduate track.

SINCE 2012

Why parents trust us with their teen's coding.

LCCL was founded by Juliana, an NUS Computer Science graduate, and our curriculum is advised by Professor Leong Hon Wai of NUS. We've taught coding to over 3,000 children since 2012.

Our teens don't just finish exercises. Many use their class projects in university portfolios, and our students became IDE2025 Overall Champions.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A skill that compounds for years.

1

Real programming skills

Actual Python that runs on any computer — the same language used in AI, data science and web development. Portfolio-worthy from day one.

2

A university application edge

Python experience stands out on applications. Many of our teens use projects from class in their portfolios.

3

A career foundation

Whether they become engineers, doctors or founders, Python is valuable. It's the language of data and automation — a future-proof skill.

WHAT PARENTS & TEENS SAY

"I am really enjoying and learning a lot from the way the lessons currently are. I especially like having a little task to complete as homework after each lesson, as it helps reinforce what I have learnt that day."

Python studentAge 15

"Justine is enjoying the classes very much and tells me she's learning new things each day. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with Justine. Much appreciated."

ValerieMum of Justine, age 13

"Juliana is very dedicated in coaching my son, who has learning challenges, to code. She develops logical thinking in a fun and interactive way, providing structure in the lesson while fostering creativity."

PARENTS ASK

"Does my teen need prior experience?"

Not at all. Beginners start from the basics with visual projects. If they've coded before, especially at LCCL, they'll progress faster — experienced students get assessment questions for proper placement.

"What equipment is needed?"

Any laptop or desktop with internet. We'll email simple setup instructions (installing Python takes about 5 minutes). Tablets won't work for Python.

"Why online instead of in-person?"

Teens learn well in their own environment and can keep coding right after class with no commute. Screen sharing over Zoom makes following the code even clearer.

"How is this different from the trial class?"

The trial is a single 90-minute taster class. Python is the ongoing weekly programme it leads into. Booking a trial is the best way to see the class and meet the teacher first.

"Is this suitable for younger kids?"

Python is for ages 12–18, matched to the right level. Younger children should look at Coding Fundamentals (ages 8–11) or Early Creators (ages 5–7).

See a class for yourself.

Book a single trial class. Your teen writes working Python in 90 minutes — from zero, online, from home — and you'll get honest feedback on the right level.
